How to Setting Blog

For those new to blogs, there are several settings that must be done so that we can blog on the familiar Google search engines like, Yahoo, Msn and friends another. If you do not know what to in the settings, please follow these steps:

1. Please Login to blogger.com with a user name and password.

2. Click the blog title is not in the settings (if you have multiple blogs in one account)

3. Click Settings, then click Basic. Some form must be filled in the Basic menu:

  • Title blog content with the title mate. Example: Blogspot Tutorial
  • Description blog content with a description of my friend. Example: Here we will share
  •                       experiences and knowledge about the Blog
  • Add your blog to our list? select yes for each post we always go in the list of                      Blogger.com.
  • Let the search engines find your blog? select yes
  • Show Quick Editing on your Blog? select Yes
  • Show Email Post Links? should select yes, but choose not too fine
  • Adult Content? Select no. If you select yes means your blog is considered a blog for adults  (a kind of porn blog)
  • Show Compose Mode for all of your blog? select Yes
  • Enable transliteration? select No, if you want a button to change the letters used to Hindi  (India), select yes if otherwise)
  • Click Save Setting Button . Done

4. Click Publishing for setting Publishing Menu

  • Address Blog spot = fill with name your blog. Example : coloumn-tutorial. Usually address is listed directly addresses your blog. So don’t change.
  • Click save setting button, finish.

5. Click formating for setting formating menu :

  • Show = select the number of posts you want to display. For example: Display: 6 posts, then post that will appear in the page blog buddy is a total of six posts. Select the post (not days) in the pulldown menu.
  • Date Header Format = Choose the date / month you like, format the date / month it will always appear on our posts.
  • Archive Index Date Format = select a model for the archiving records that you like.
  • Timestamp Format = Select the time format you prefer.
  • Time Zone = Select the appropriate time zone. Example for WI: [UTC-+7.00] Asia / Jakarta.
  • Language Select the language you want
  • Show Title field= Select yes if not too fine
  • Enable float alignment = Select yes if not too fine
  • Click save setting button, finish.

6. Click Comments for setting comments menu

  • Comments = select a show, this so your articles can be commented by the visitors
  • Who Can Comment? = Select Anyone - includes Anonymous Users . This meant that everyone could comment not limited to members only blogspot.
  • Comment Form Placement = Embedded below post
  • Comments Default for Posts = Select New post have comments.
  • Backlinks = Select show. This meant that we know if there is put a link on our article.
  • Backlinks Default for Posts = New post have backlink
  • Comments Timestamp Format = select format short hours. Example : 8:00 pm
  • Show comments in a popup window? select Yes. So that when the clicks by visitors, your blog page does not disappear / comments affected page.
  • Comment moderation = Select No.
  • Show word verification for comments? = select Yes. This in intended to avoid the robot software in order to spam.
  • Show profile images on comments? = select yes. So the picture commentators have en blogger wrote, can display the picture.
  • Comment Notification Email = fill with your email address, this meant that every one commented on your article, you can post an email from blogger.com as notification.
  • Click save setting button, finish.

7. Click Archiving for setting archiving menu :

  • Archive Frequency = Select Monthly
  • Enable Post Pages? = Select Yes
  • Click save setting button, finish.

8. Click site feed for setting site feed menu

  • Allow Blog Feeds = select full
  • Post Feed Redirect URL = filled with substitute feed address, for example the address of the feed burner feed, if you do not have, in clear only.
  • Post Feed Footer =  Please fill in the ad code you have, for example code from the Google Adsense ads, etc., but if you do not have, please empty it.
  • Click save setting button, finish.
